Terms of Service
The rules for using the Taufolio service.
1. Operator and formation of the agreement
These Terms of Service (the "Terms") govern access to, and use of, the Taufolio website, application, reports, sharing links, subscriptions, and related services (together, the "Service").
The Service is operated by:
- Jacek Janczura
- Adama Mickiewicza 73, 01-625 Warsaw, Poland
- Email: support@taufolio.com
- NIP (Polish tax ID): 5253008276
- EU VAT number: PL5253008276
- REGON: 528998136
By creating an account, purchasing access, or using the Service, you accept these Terms. If you do not accept the Terms, do not use the Service.
2. Eligibility requirements
You may use Taufolio only if:
- you have the capacity to enter into binding legal obligations under applicable law
- you have reached the age of majority in your jurisdiction
- using the Service is not prohibited by applicable law
If you use Taufolio on behalf of a company or other organisation, you represent that you have the authority to bind that entity to these Terms.
3. What Taufolio is
Taufolio is informational software that helps users generate AI-assisted research material on publicly traded stocks, including in-depth research reports, short summary reports, earnings-call analyses, translations, portfolio-monitoring features, and public sharing links.
Taufolio is provided solely as a software service.
4. What Taufolio is not
Taufolio is not:
- investment advice
- financial advice
- legal advice
- tax advice
- brokerage activity
- portfolio management
- custody
- a trade-execution platform
- fiduciary services or a personal advisor
Taufolio does not assess the suitability of any investment for your individual circumstances and does not issue personal recommendations.
5. No professional relationship and no suitability assessment
Using Taufolio does not create an advisor-client, fiduciary, broker-client, attorney-client, tax-advisor, or any other professional relationship between you and Taufolio.
Taufolio does not collect or assess your complete financial situation, investment objectives, risk tolerance, time horizon, knowledge, experience, liquidity needs, tax situation, or suitability profile. Any portfolio, watchlist, holdings, or preference features exist solely to organise research output for your information, and are not used to determine whether any investment is suitable or appropriate for you.
6. Not investment advice
Reports, ratings, scores, summaries, recaps, earnings-call analyses, translations, and any buy, sell, hold, long, short, bullish, bearish, or similar signal the Service generates are provided for informational purposes only. They are indicators of research sentiment only, and are not - and must not be treated as - investment advice, a personal recommendation, an inducement to trade, or an offer to buy or sell any security or financial instrument.
You make investment decisions at your own risk. You should independently verify information and, where appropriate, consult a qualified, licensed professional before acting on it. Taufolio is not responsible for any investment, trading, business, tax, or legal decision made by you or on your behalf.
7. Scope of AI processing
When generating a company report, only public information about the company being analysed (financial statements, transcripts, market data, and similar public sources) is sent to AI model providers.
Some Taufolio features do, however, send your portfolio data to AI model providers: in the assistant, this also includes the number of shares you hold and the purchase price of each position. Privacy Policy section 8 lists the full, feature-by-feature breakdown of what is sent, which providers receive it, and which of that data leaves the European Economic Area. We do not send AI model providers your name or email address from your profile, your login credentials, your payment data, or your investor journal and personal notes.
Taufolio does not provide investment advice and does not issue personal recommendations. We do not examine your financial situation, knowledge, or investment objectives, we do not carry out a suitability assessment, and we do not tell you what to buy or sell. The fact that the assistant can see your portfolio does not change the nature of the service: its output is informational material that you evaluate yourself and use at your own risk.
8. No reliance and AI risk
Taufolio uses automated systems and AI models to generate output.
You acknowledge and accept that:
- output may be incomplete, incorrect, out of date, inconsistent, misleading, or a model hallucination
- source material may be incomplete or contain errors
- the Service may omit material facts, risks, or context
- market, legal, regulatory, or corporate information can change quickly
You must independently review and verify any information before relying on it. You use the Service at your own risk.
9. AI outputs, similar outputs, and no exclusivity
Because the Service relies on automated systems and shared source material, similar or identical output may be generated for different users. You do not receive exclusive rights to general ideas, facts, market data, methodology, rating logic, templates, or output that is not specific to you.
Facts, financial data, corporate information, and material from public sources do not become your property merely because they appear in a report generated for your account.
10. Third-party data and vendor dependencies
Taufolio may rely on third-party data, financial statements, transcripts, market-data providers, AI providers, APIs, and public sources. We do not guarantee that third-party data is accurate, complete, current, available, or error-free. Data may be delayed, restated, corrected, or unavailable. We are not liable for losses arising from errors, delays, outages, or changes in third-party data.
11. Public distribution and investment recommendations
The Service's output may include automated classifications, summaries, scores, ratings, or research labels. This output is not intended to recommend, or suggest, an investment strategy with respect to any specific financial instrument or issuer.
You may not publish, redistribute, or present any Taufolio output as an investment recommendation, a personal recommendation, a financial promotion, issuer-sponsored research, or an inducement to buy, sell, hold, short-sell, or otherwise trade any financial instrument.
If you publish or redistribute Taufolio output (including via public sharing links, social media, newsletters, or any other channel), you are solely responsible for ensuring your publication complies with applicable law and regulation, including rules on investment recommendations, market abuse (MAR), conflicts of interest, advertising, and financial promotions.
12. Conflicts of interest
Unless expressly stated otherwise, Taufolio's reports are not sponsored by issuers, and Taufolio does not receive payment from issuers for analytical coverage. Reports are generated automatically by the Service and are not issuer-sponsored research.
Taufolio's owners may hold positions in some of the companies covered on the site. Any such positions, where they exist, are not a personalised recommendation to you and do not by themselves constitute a conflict requiring individual disclosure on every report. If you need a specific disclosure of positions held, contact support@taufolio.com.
13. Accounts and account security
Some features require an account. You agree to:
- provide accurate and current information
- keep your login credentials confidential
- keep your account and devices secure
- notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access or misuse
You are responsible for activity carried out through your account, unless applicable law provides otherwise.
Technical monitoring of the Service
We monitor Taufolio technically to keep the service running: we log application errors, failed operations, and performance measurements together with the technical context needed to diagnose them (page address, browser, device, your account id, and the service version). This monitoring is part of delivering the service and runs in every session; it is not analytics and is not subject to your cookie-consent choice. Section 6b of our Privacy Policy describes what is collected, on what legal basis, and for how long it is kept.
14. Subscriptions, credits, and paid features
Taufolio may offer free, paid, subscription, trial, and one-off paid features, including features based on credit usage.
Subscription credits
Subscription plans may include a renewing credit allowance. Unless a plan expressly states otherwise, subscription credits may reset, expire, or renew at the end of each billing period, and do not necessarily carry over between periods without limit.
Top-up credits
Taufolio may also offer one-off top-up credits. Top-up credits are valid for 6 months from purchase. For every paid action we first use credits from your plan, then top-up credits, with one exception: in the last billing cycle in which a given top-up pack is still valid, we use credits from that pack first, so they are not lost. In the second-to-last cycle in which a pack is still valid, we ask you which credits you want to use before completing a paid action. A single purchase may be funded partly by top-up credits and partly by plan credits. The above rules apply unless a different rule is expressly stated at the time of purchase, or the law requires otherwise.
Trial or promotional credits
Trial, promotional, or free credits may expire or be withdrawn under the terms of the relevant offer.
Using credits
Credits may be charged when you order reports or take other paid actions. The specific credit cost of individual features may vary and change over time - see "Price changes" below.
Credits:
- have no monetary value, unless applicable law provides otherwise
- are non-transferable, unless we expressly permit it
- may be voided if they were granted as a result of fraud, a chargeback, abuse, or an obvious error
15. Usage limits and fair use
We may apply fair-use limits, rate limits, concurrency limits, storage limits, and anti-abuse mechanisms, including on plans described as "unlimited", where necessary to protect the service's stability, prevent abuse, control costs, or ensure fair access.
16. Subscription renewal and cancellation
Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled before the renewal date. Cancelling stops future renewals but does not automatically refund the current billing period, unless applicable law or a specific refund policy states otherwise. You remain responsible for charges already accrued before cancellation.
We may retry failed payments, downgrade your plan, or suspend or end access following a failed payment, and you remain responsible for any amount owed, unless prohibited by law.
If you initiate a chargeback or payment dispute, we may suspend access while the dispute is being reviewed. Fraudulent or abusive chargebacks may result in termination and the loss of promotional credits, subject to mandatory law.
17. Payments and renewals
If you purchase a paid subscription or paid credits, you authorise the relevant payment provider to charge you the applicable fees, taxes, and other disclosed amounts.
If your plan renews automatically, you authorise recurring charges until cancelled in line with the applicable subscription terms.
We may suspend or restrict access if a payment fails, is reversed, is reasonably suspected of fraud, or remains overdue.
18. Price changes
We may change the price of subscriptions, plans, top-up packs, individual reports, report types, features, and credit costs at any time, with respect to future purchases, renewals, report generation, or feature use. We will not retroactively change the price of a completed purchase.
For subscriptions, any price increase takes effect no earlier than the next renewal period after reasonable advance notice, and you may cancel your subscription before the new price takes effect.
For credit-based report generation, the applicable credit cost will be shown before you confirm the generation or paid action, and changes apply prospectively only. Credit costs for reports or features may change prospectively due to changes in model costs, data-provider costs, infrastructure costs, product scope, report depth, or business strategy.
Taufolio may add, remove, modify, rename, or redesign reports, sections, ratings, scoring logic, translations, and other features at any time.
Continued use of the Service after a price change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the new prices for future purchases.
19. Taxes and currency
Prices shown on the site are gross prices and include VAT. Beyond VAT, prices may not include sales tax, withholding tax, bank fees, currency-conversion fees, or similar charges, unless stated otherwise. You are responsible for these other taxes and fees, unless we are required to collect them.
20. Refund policy
Within 14 days of purchase, we refund the full amount, no questions asked, under the rules below. Email support@taufolio.com within 14 days of a subscription charge, or of a top-up pack purchase. For a subscription, we refund the full amount regardless of how many plan credits you have already used. For a top-up pack, we refund the full amount only if you have not yet used any credit from that pack; if you have used even part of it, that pack is not refundable.
A top-up pack refund removes its credits from your balance. A subscription charge refund returns the money for that charge but does not by itself cancel the subscription - email us if you also want to cancel the plan (or cancel it yourself in billing settings).
After 14 days, except where required by applicable law (including mandatory consumer-protection rules) or where we expressly set out a more detailed commercial policy at checkout, on the pricing page, or in another purchase flow:
- subscription fees are not refundable during the period - if you cancel, your subscription stays active until the end of the current billing period and is not refunded pro rata
- top-up credits are not refundable once granted to your account
- partially used top-up packs are not refundable
- credits used to generate reports or other output are not refundable
At our discretion, we may grant ex gratia refunds or credit reversals outside this window in exceptional cases (e.g. a verified billing error or a material service defect). An ex gratia refund does not amount to a departure from the refund policy and does not entitle you to future refunds in similar situations.
Where we expressly offer a more detailed refund window or refund condition for a given plan or purchase flow, that more detailed rule takes precedence for that transaction.
21. Consumers and performance of digital services
If you are a consumer, you have the statutory rights available under applicable consumer law, including rights relating to withdrawal, conformity, defects, or unfair terms. Nothing in these Terms limits your statutory rights.
For consumers in the EEA, the UK, and other jurisdictions with mandatory withdrawal-right law, where you purchase digital content or a digital service and request immediate performance, by accepting these Terms and confirming the purchase you expressly request and agree that performance of the Service may begin immediately and before the 14-day withdrawal period expires. To the extent permitted by applicable law, you acknowledge that your statutory right of withdrawal may lapse once the digital content has been supplied, or the service has been fully performed.
For consumers, suspension, termination, removal of credits, the limitation of liability in section 33, the indemnification obligation in section 34, and changes to these Terms apply only to the extent permitted by mandatory consumer law. Where mandatory consumer law gives you stronger protection than the corresponding clause of these Terms, that mandatory rule prevails.
22. User content and submissions
You are responsible for content, files, prompts, transcripts, documents, and other material you submit, upload, order, publish, or share through Taufolio.
You represent that:
- you hold the rights necessary to provide and use that content
- your content and your use of the Service do not violate applicable law or third-party rights
You retain ownership of your content in your relationship with Taufolio, but you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide licence to host, process, analyse, store, reproduce, adapt, and display that content to the extent necessary to operate, secure, improve, and provide the Service.
23. Permitted use of reports
Subject to these Terms and payment of the applicable fees, you may use reports generated for your account for personal, internal, non-commercial investment-research purposes. Business or commercial use, redistribution, resale, publication, white-labelling, or use to advise third parties requires our express written consent, unless your plan expressly permits it.
You may not present Taufolio output as your own professional investment advice, research recommendation, regulated financial advice, or suitability assessment; you are solely responsible for complying with all applicable licensing, disclosure, documentation, and regulatory requirements. You may not remove, obscure, or strip any AI-generated label, not-investment-advice disclaimer, or other disclaimer before sharing or republishing output.
24. Public sharing links
Taufolio may let you publish report content via public sharing links. If you publish a report through a sharing link:
- anyone with the link can access the shared content
- you are responsible for deciding what content to publish
- you should not publish confidential, personal, or otherwise sensitive information unless you accept the associated risk
Public sharing links may be indexed, cached, copied, screenshotted, archived, or redistributed by third parties. Removing a sharing link may not remove copies already shared or saved elsewhere.
The public-distribution restrictions in section 11 (Public distribution and investment recommendations) apply in full to every public sharing link. We may disable or remove sharing links that violate these Terms, create legal risk, or are otherwise unsuitable for the Service.
25. Acceptable use policy
You agree not to:
- use the Service for any unlawful, fraudulent, misleading, or abusive purpose
- infringe the rights of others
- attempt unauthorised access to systems, accounts, or data
- disrupt the security, integrity, or availability of the Service
- scrape, harvest, or extract content or data from the Service other than through authorised user functionality
- reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to obtain the source code, underlying models, prompts, or system logic, except to the extent mandatory law prohibits restricting that right
- bypass, disable, or attempt to circumvent any usage, credit, rate, billing, or entitlement limit
- resell, sublicense, or commercially redistribute reports, sharing-link content, or other Service output without our express written consent
- use the Service to build a competing dataset, model, or service beyond permitted use
- upload malware, code, or harmful content
- misuse public sharing links or distribute content in violation of law or third-party rights
We may monitor, investigate, suspend, restrict, or terminate access where we reasonably suspect abuse, fraud, or legal risk.
26. Workspace administration
If you use team workspaces, workspace owners/administrators may access, manage, export, delete, or restrict users' content and access. If you join a workspace, your activity and content within it may be visible to its administrators.
27. Beta and experimental features
Some features may be labelled beta, preview, experimental, or early access. Such features may be less reliable, may change materially, may be withdrawn, and may produce incorrect or incomplete output.
28. Intellectual property
Taufolio and its software, branding, interface, site design, and related material are protected by intellectual-property law and other applicable law.
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to access and use the Service for its intended purpose.
We grant no other rights beyond those expressly stated in these Terms.
29. Feedback
If you give us feedback, suggestions, ideas, bug reports, or feature requests, we may use them without restriction and without owing you compensation.
30. Availability, changes, and discontinuation of the Service
We may modify, update, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time, including features, models, prices, credit costs, and plan structure.
We do not guarantee that the Service, or any part of it, will be available at all times, uninterrupted, secure, error-free, or fit for a particular purpose.
31. Suspension and termination of accounts
We may suspend, restrict, or end your access to the Service - in whole or in part, with or without notice - if:
- you breach these Terms or any applicable policy
- a payment fails, is reversed, or remains overdue
- we reasonably suspect fraud, abuse, chargeback abuse, or unlawful conduct
- continued access creates legal, security, or operational risk for Taufolio, other users, or third parties
- required by law, regulation, or a competent authority
You may stop using the Service at any time. Where applicable, you may also cancel paid subscriptions through the relevant billing settings, subject to the disclosed billing-cycle rules.
On suspension or termination, we may delete or restrict access to your account, content, sharing links, and unused credits, subject to mandatory retention obligations.
If you delete your account, you may lose access to generated reports, sharing links, unused subscription credits, settings, and history, subject to mandatory law and our retention obligations.
32. Disclaimer of warranties
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE", without any warranty: express, implied, statutory, or otherwise.
We expressly disclaim all warranties, including:
- merchantability
- fitness for a particular purpose
- non-infringement
- accuracy, completeness, reliability, or timeliness
- uninterrupted or error-free operation
- the absence of defects, bugs, or harmful components
- any warranty about investment outcomes, profitability, or decision quality
No advice or information, oral or written, obtained from Taufolio or through the Service creates any warranty not expressly stated in these Terms.
33. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Taufolio and its operator are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, punitive, or exemplary damages, including lost profits, lost savings, lost business opportunity, market losses, trading losses, investment losses, loss of goodwill, or loss or corruption of data, arising out of or related to your use of, inability to use, or reliance on the Service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Taufolio's total liability for all claims arising out of or related to the Service will not exceed the total fees you actually paid Taufolio in the 12 months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where such exclusion or limitation is prohibited by applicable law, including mandatory consumer protection.
34. Indemnification
To the fullest extent permitted by law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Taufolio and its operator against any third-party claims, losses, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to:
- your use or misuse of the Service
- your breach of these Terms or any applicable policy
- your violation of applicable law or third-party rights
- content you upload, submit, publish, or share, including via public sharing links
- any dispute between you and a third party arising from your use of the Service
We may, at our option, take sole control of the defence of any matter subject to indemnification - in which case you agree to cooperate with our defence of those claims.
35. Force majeure
Taufolio is not liable for any delay or failure to perform arising from causes beyond its reasonable control, including without limitation acts of God, natural disasters, war, terrorism, civil unrest, pandemics, government or regulatory action, labour disputes, cyberattacks, denial-of-service events, internet or telecommunications-network failures, or the failure of upstream providers (including authentication, payments, hosting, infrastructure, AI models, market data, and email).
36. Sanctions and export control
You may not use the Service if you are located in, organised under the law of, or ordinarily resident in a country or territory subject to applicable sanctions, or if you are on a restricted-party list.
You agree not to use, export, re-export, or transfer the Service in violation of applicable export-control or sanctions law.
37. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the law of Poland, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and without prejudice to the mandatory consumer-protection law of the country where a consumer habitually resides.
If you are a consumer, you may rely on mandatory local protections and jurisdictional rights that cannot be excluded by agreement.
If you are not a consumer, and unless mandatory law requires otherwise, the courts of Warsaw, Poland have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising out of or related to these Terms or the Service.
For business users only, a dispute must first be raised in writing, and the parties will attempt in good faith to resolve it within 30 days before starting proceedings.
38. Changes to these Terms
We may periodically update, amend, or replace these Terms. The updated version takes effect once published in the Service or otherwise made available, unless a different effective date is stated.
If a change is material, we will take reasonable steps to notify you (for example by email or an in-app message). Continued use of the Service after the updated Terms take effect constitutes acceptance, unless applicable law requires a different acceptance mechanism. If you do not accept the updated Terms, your only remedy is to stop using the Service and, where applicable, cancel your subscription.
39. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is held invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable by a court or competent authority, that provision will be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, or severed from the Terms if such modification is not possible. The remaining provisions will remain in full force.
40. Entire agreement
These Terms, together with any policies or additional terms expressly incorporated by reference (for example at checkout or on the pricing page), constitute the entire agreement between you and Taufolio regarding the Service, and supersede any prior or contemporaneous understanding, communication, or agreement on the same subject.
41. Survival
Every provision of these Terms that by its nature should survive termination will survive, including without limitation provisions relating to:
- intellectual property
- the licence you grant us in your content
- fees already accrued and payment obligations
- disclaimer of warranties
- limitation of liability
- indemnification
- governing law and jurisdiction
- dispute resolution
42. DMCA / IP contact
If you believe content available through the Service (including via a public sharing link) infringes your copyright or other intellectual-property rights, send a written notice to support@taufolio.com with the subject line "IP Takedown Request".
Your notice should include:
- identification of the protected work you claim was infringed
- identification of the allegedly infringing material and its URL or location within the Service
- your full name, address, phone number, and email address
- a statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorised by the rights holder, its agent, or the law
- a statement, under penalty of perjury where applicable, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are authorised to act on the rights holder's behalf
- your physical or electronic signature
We may disable or remove allegedly infringing content, terminate the accounts of repeat infringers, and forward takedown notices to the relevant user where appropriate.
43. Subprocessors
Taufolio relies on third-party service providers to operate the Service. As of the "Last updated" date above, our main categories of subprocessors include:
- Authentication: Clerk
- Payments and billing: Stripe
- Database and storage: Supabase
- Hosting, deployment, and edge delivery: Vercel
- AI model providers used for generating, translating, or processing content and for the features described in Privacy Policy section 8: Google Cloud Vertex AI, OpenAI, and OpenRouter - an intermediary that routes our request to a model we choose from a variable set; additionally, when we configure the service to do so, Microsoft Azure OpenAI. We change providers and models without separate notice and do not publicly disclose which model handles which feature. These providers process public information about the companies being analysed and, for some features, your portfolio data (Privacy Policy section 8). We do not send them account data, profile data, or payment data. Data routed through OpenRouter is transferred outside the European Economic Area - see Privacy Policy section 9.
- OCR (text-recognition) providers: Microsoft Azure Document Intelligence
- Email and notifications: Resend
- Product analytics and session replay: PostHog (EU region)
- Error and performance monitoring: Sentry (EU region)
- Live chat (support): tawk.to Inc. (United States); data may be transferred outside the European Economic Area, see the Cookie Policy
- Market-data and financial-information providers
We may update this list at any time as our infrastructure evolves. We can provide the current list on request at support@taufolio.com. Personal-data transfers to subprocessors take place in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable data-protection law.
44. Contact
Questions about these Terms may be sent to support@taufolio.com.
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you use our service. They help keep the site working correctly, keep your account secure, and help us understand how people use our services. We may use similar technologies for the same purposes, such as local storage and session storage.
2. How we use cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies for the following purposes:
Strictly necessary cookies
These cookies are absolutely required for Taufolio to work correctly. We use them to:
- Authenticate you: remembering your signed-in state so you don't have to sign in again every time you reload the page.
- Keep you secure: protecting your account, preventing fraud, and securing our API endpoints.
- Provide core functionality: remembering your session preferences and keeping the platform's main features working smoothly.
Because these cookies are essential to the service, they cannot be turned off.
The consent cookie
We store your cookie consent choice locally so we don't ask again on every visit. This cookie is set when you accept or reject categories in the cookie banner, and it is required for the consent mechanism to work.
tau_cc: stores which cookie categories you chose (always at leastnecessary, optionallyanalyticsandsupportChat), set by the consent banner. First-party. Retention: up to 6 months from the last update, after which the banner reappears.
Analytics, heatmaps and session replay (PostHog)
Once you consent (the Analytics category in the cookie banner), we load PostHog for product analytics, heatmaps, session replay (signed-in users only), frontend error tracking, and web vitals monitoring. PostHog acts as a data processor on our behalf and processes data in the European Union region.
PostHog sets first-party cookies whose names start with ph_, including:
ph_<project-id>_posthog: PostHog's session object and user identifier: a random visitor id, the current session id, and feature-flag state. Used for analytics, heatmaps, paths, and (for signed-in users) session replay. First-party. Retention: up to 12 months from the last activity.ph_<project-id>_window_id: a short-lived session-window identifier, used to link events from the same browser window. First-party. Retention: session.ph_opt_in_out_capturing: a browser flag remembering whether analytics consent was given for this device. First-party. Retention: up to 12 months from the last update.
PostHog cookies are used for:
- Analytics: usage events, pageviews, and paths.
- Heatmaps: aggregated on-page click positions.
- Session replay: a replayable recording of your interactions, signed-in users only, with sensitive fields masked.
- Frontend error tracking: capturing JavaScript exceptions and stack traces so we can diagnose and fix them.
- Web vitals: page-performance measurements.
We do not set any marketing or advertising cookies. PostHog cookies are loaded only after you consent to analytics in the banner, and stop being set (or are removed) once you withdraw consent via "Manage cookies" in the footer.
Support chat (tawk.to)
Once you consent (the Support chat category in the cookie banner), we load the tawk.to live-chat widget so you can message us from anywhere on the site. The provider is tawk.to Inc., based in the United States (per the provider's own public privacy policy). tawk.to acts as a data processor on our behalf; because the provider is based outside the European Economic Area, the data transfer relies on the transfer mechanisms provided for by applicable law.
tawk.to sets cookies whose names start with twk_ or tawk_, including:
TawkConnectionTime: coordinates loading the chat widget when you have several tabs of the same page open. Retention: session.twk_idm_key: manages concurrent chat connections. Retention: session.tawk_uuid_<id>: recognises you as the same visitor on a later visit, so the conversation thread isn't lost. Retention: up to 6 months from the last visit.
Chat cookies are loaded only after you consent to the Support chat category in the banner, and stop being set (or are removed) once you withdraw consent via "Manage cookies" in the footer.
3. Third-party cookies
Some of our service providers may also place their own cookies on your device to help us deliver the service. These include:
- Authentication providers (e.g. Clerk): used to manage sign-in sessions securely.
- Payment processors (e.g. Stripe): used to process payments and prevent fraud during checkout.
- Analytics and replay (PostHog): used to analyse user behaviour, replay signed-in users' sessions, and improve the product. Loaded only after you consent to analytics.
- Support chat (tawk.to): used to run a live conversation with the support team. Loaded only after you consent to the Support chat category.
- Error and performance monitoring (Sentry): used to detect crashes, failed report generations, and slow pages. Sentry does not set cookies and does not store anything on your device beyond what is technically necessary to send a report, so it operates without analytics consent - see Privacy Policy section 6b.
These partners act as data processors on our behalf and use cookies in line with their own privacy policies.
4. Managing your cookie preferences
You can control and manage cookies in several ways:
- "Manage cookies" in the footer: click the Manage cookies link in the site footer to reopen the consent banner at any time. You can turn off the Analytics category to withdraw consent - PostHog stops loading and stops capturing further events from your browser. Necessary cookies cannot be turned off, because the service cannot work without them.
- Browser settings: most web browsers let you view, manage, delete, and block cookies for a given site. Check your browser's "Help" or "Settings" section for instructions. Note that blocking necessary cookies may cause key parts of Taufolio to stop working correctly.
- Opt-out mechanisms: you can also use built-in browser features (e.g. "Do Not Track") or privacy-focused extensions. The most reliable way to withdraw consent within Taufolio, though, is the Manage cookies control inside the product.
5. Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy periodically to reflect changes in our practices or in applicable law. If we make any changes, we will update the "Last updated" date shown at the top of this page.
6. Contact
If you have any questions about how we use cookies, contact us at support@taufolio.com.
These terms (the "Affiliate Terms") set out the rules for taking part in the Taufolio Affiliate Program (the "Program"). By applying, or by accepting a partner code, you accept these terms together with the Terms of Service and the Privacy Policy.
1. Eligibility and acceptance
Admission to the Program is at Taufolio's sole discretion. Applicants must run a genuine publishing channel (e.g. YouTube, Substack, a podcast, a blog, an X account, LinkedIn). We reserve the right to refuse or end participation at any time.
2. Commission terms
- From every paid subscription started by someone referred through your unique code, we set aside 30% of the net payment as the affiliate budget. You choose, in the application, how that 30% splits between your commission and a discount for your audience (e.g. 10/20, 0/30, 30/0). The total may not exceed 30%, and each side must fall within the 0-30% range. The exact figures that apply to you are recorded in your acceptance email.
- Commission accrues on every payment in the referred customer's first 12 months. That covers the first payment and every renewal billed within that first year: up to twelve commissions on a monthly plan, and one commission on the first annual payment for an annual plan, because that payment already covers the whole year. Commission stops accruing after those first 12 months. If your acceptance email explicitly grants "recurring commission" (an arrangement reserved for select large partners), commission instead accrues on every renewal invoice for as long as the subscription stays active, with the acceptance email setting the terms of that recurrence.
- "Net payment" means the amount Stripe settles to Taufolio after deducting Stripe's fee, refunds, chargebacks, taxes withheld by Stripe (including EU VAT/OSS, GST, sales tax and similar charges), and any platform-side credits. Commissions are calculated net of tax: affiliates are solely responsible for their own income tax, VAT, and any other charges on the commission they receive.
- Annual plans: if a referred customer chooses an annual plan, the first annual payment already covers the customer's whole first year, so commission is calculated on that first annual payment under the same rules: your share of the 30% budget, settled once the payment clears. The second year's renewal does not generate further commission unless recurring commission has been granted.
- Audience discount: customers who use your code get a discount set out in your acceptance email (matching your chosen 30% split). The discount applies to the first billing cycle only, unless agreed otherwise.
3. Refunds and chargebacks
- A subscription refund reverses the matching commission. A partial refund reverses commission proportionally.
- A chargeback reverses the full commission and may result in an additional clawback equal to the chargeback fee Stripe passes on to us.
- Reversals are offset against future payouts. Taufolio may suspend or end the partnership if a negative balance persists for more than 60 days.
4. Minimum payout and frequency
- The minimum payout amount is stated in your acceptance email (default: the equivalent of EUR 50).
- Commissions are paid monthly, using the payout method you choose (typically Wise, PayPal, or bank transfer).
- Balances below the threshold roll over to the next cycle. They remain on record in the partner account for at least 24 months from the date they accrued.
5. Content rules (MiFID II / investor protection)
The Program is subject to applicable financial-promotion and investor-protection law. By taking part, you agree that all promotional material about Taufolio:
- must NOT guarantee, or suggest a guarantee of, investment returns or the performance of any company Taufolio covers.
- must NOT present Taufolio's output as personal investment advice.
- must NOT mislead about the nature, scope, or accuracy of Taufolio's analysis (which is AI-assisted analysis of public company filings, not personalised financial advice).
- must NOT selectively showcase past "winners" or otherwise mislead your audience about expected outcomes.
- must comply with the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) guidelines on financial promotions on social media, and with the relevant rules of your own jurisdiction (KNF in Poland, the FCA in the UK, the SEC/FINRA in the US, and so on).
We may ask you to review, correct, or remove content we reasonably suspect breaches the rules above.
6. Disclosure requirement
You must clearly and visibly disclose your affiliate relationship with Taufolio every time you promote the product (YouTube descriptions, podcast intros, on-screen captions, post disclaimers, and so on). At minimum: "I earn a commission if you subscribe to Taufolio through my link/code." You are solely responsible for complying with the country-specific rules that apply to you (UOKiK in Poland, the FTC in the US, the UK ASA, and so on).
7. Paid ads and brand bidding
- Running paid campaigns (Google Ads, Meta, X, and so on) that mention Taufolio, "Taufolio", or related trademarks requires our prior written consent. Submit the ad copy and targeting for approval before the campaign starts.
- No bidding on brand keywords. Without our explicit written consent, you may not bid on "Taufolio", "taufolio.com", or close variants of either in search engines.
- Misleading ads or trademark infringement result in immediate termination of the partnership.
8. Prohibited conduct
- Self-referrals (using your own code on your own subscription).
- Cookie stuffing, pop-ups, or any form of hidden attribution.
- Spam (mass DMs, mass emailing people who have not opted in, comment spam).
- Promoting to an audience whose primary subject is illegal activity, or outside jurisdictions Taufolio serves.
- Presenting yourself as a Taufolio employee, advisor, or official spokesperson.
Any of the above voids unpaid commissions and may result in permanent termination of the partnership.
9. Taufolio's rights
- Taufolio may amend these terms with 30 days' notice. Continued participation after the effective date counts as acceptance.
- Taufolio may suspend or end the partnership with any affiliate at any time, with or without cause, subject to a reasonable notice period. Commission accrued up to the termination date will be paid, subject to the standard refund/chargeback rules above.
- Taufolio may suspend or reject specific redemptions of a promo code where fraud or abuse is suspected.
10. Privacy
Affiliates do not receive referred users' personal data. Affiliates only see aggregated figures (total sign-ups, total subscriptions, total commissionable revenue, total commission accrued) in the affiliate dashboard. See the Privacy Policy for full details.
11. Liability
Commission is the sole compensation under the Program. Taufolio disclaims all other warranties, express or implied. Maximum liability under the Program is limited to the total commission paid in the 12 months preceding any claim.
12. Governing law
These Affiliate Terms are governed by the law of the jurisdiction where Taufolio's parent entity is registered, consistent with the Terms of Service.
