Affiliate Program Terms

Last updated:

These terms ("Affiliate Terms") govern your participation in the Taufolio Affiliate Program (the "Program"). By submitting an application or accepting a partner code, you agree to these terms in addition to Taufolio's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

1. Eligibility and Approval

Approval to the Program is at Taufolio's sole discretion. Applicants must operate a legitimate publishing channel (e.g. YouTube, Substack, podcast, blog, X account, LinkedIn). We reserve the right to refuse or terminate participation at any time.

2. Commission Terms

  • For every paid subscription started by a person you referred via your unique promo code, we ring-fence 30% of the net payment as a partner budget. You decide the split of that 30% between your own commission and the audience discount at application time (e.g. 10/20, 0/30, 30/0). The sum may not exceed 30%, and each side must be between 0–30%. The exact values that apply to you are documented in your approval email.
  • Commissions are earned on every payment during the referred customer's first 12 months. This covers the first payment and each renewal that bills within that first year — on a monthly plan, up to twelve commissions; on an annual plan, a single commission on the first annual charge, because that charge already pays for the full year. After the first 12 months no further commission accrues. Where the approval email explicitly grants "recurring commission" (a per-partner arrangement reserved for select large partners), commissions instead accrue against all renewal invoices for as long as the subscription remains active; in that case the approval email states the recurring terms.
  • "Net payment" means the amount Stripe settles to Taufolio after deducting Stripe fees, refunds, chargebacks, taxes withheld by Stripe (including VAT/EU OSS, GST, sales tax, and any similar levies), and any platform-side credits. Commissions are calculated net of tax — partners are responsible for their own income, sales, and value-added tax obligations on commissions received.
  • Annual plans: if a referred customer picks an annual plan, the first annual charge already covers the customer's full first year, so the commission is calculated on that first annual charge using the same rule — your share of the 30% budget, settled when the charge clears. The year-two renewal does not generate further commission unless recurring commission has been granted.
  • Audience discount: customers using your promo code receive a discount of the percentage documented in your approval email (matching your chosen split of the 30% budget). Discounts apply for the first billing cycle only unless otherwise stated.

3. Refunds and Chargebacks

  • Refunded subscriptions reverse the corresponding commission. If the refund is partial, the commission is reversed proportionally.
  • Chargebacks reverse the full commission and may incur an additional clawback equal to the chargeback fee passed through by Stripe.
  • Refund/chargeback reversals are netted against future commission payouts. Taufolio may pause or terminate participation if the reversal balance remains negative for more than 60 days.

4. Minimum Payout and Payment Cadence

  • Minimum payout amount is documented in your approval email (default: 50 EUR equivalent).
  • Commissions are paid monthly via the payout method on file (typically Wise, PayPal, or bank transfer).
  • Balances below the minimum roll over to the next cycle. Balances remain on account for at least 24 months from the date earned.

5. Content Rules (MiFID II / Investor Protection)

The Program is subject to applicable financial-promotions and investor-protection rules. By participating, you agree that all promotional content about Taufolio:

  • Must NOT make or imply guarantees of investment returns or performance of any company analyzed by Taufolio.
  • Must NOT present Taufolio output as personal investment advice.
  • Must NOT misrepresent the nature, scope, or accuracy of Taufolio's research (which is AI-assisted analysis of public company filings, not personalized financial advice).
  • Must NOT cherry-pick historical "winners" or otherwise mislead audiences as to expected outcomes.
  • Must comply with the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) guidelines on social-media financial promotions, and equivalent rules in your jurisdiction (FCA in the UK, SEC/FINRA in the US, etc.).

We may review, request edits to, or require removal of any content that we reasonably believe violates these rules.

6. Disclosure Requirements

You must clearly and conspicuously disclose your affiliate relationship with Taufolio whenever you promote the product (YouTube descriptions, podcast intros, on-screen text, post disclaimers, etc.). At minimum: "I earn a commission if you subscribe to Taufolio using my link / code." Country-specific disclosure rules (FTC in the US, UK ASA, etc.) are your responsibility to follow.

7. Paid Advertising and Brand Bidding

  • Running paid ads (Google Ads, Meta, X, etc.) that mention Taufolio, "Taufolio", or related trademarks requires prior written approval. Submit ad copy and targeting for review before launching.
  • No brand-keyword bidding. Do not bid on "Taufolio", "taufolio.com", or close variants in paid search without explicit written approval.
  • Misleading or trademark-infringing ads will result in immediate termination.

8. Prohibited Activities

  • Self-referrals (using your own promo code on your own purchase).
  • Cookie stuffing, pop-ups, or any covert attribution.
  • Spamming (mass DMs, mass emails to non-opt-in audiences, comment spam).
  • Promotion to audiences whose primary subject matter is illegal activity or outside Taufolio's allowable jurisdictions.
  • Misrepresenting yourself as a Taufolio employee, advisor, or official spokesperson.

Any of these will void unpaid commissions and may result in permanent termination.

9. Taufolio's Rights

  • Taufolio may modify these terms with 30 days' notice. Continued participation after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
  • Taufolio may pause or terminate any partner at any time, with or without cause, with reasonable notice. Earned commissions through the termination date will be paid out subject to the standard refund/chargeback rules above.
  • Taufolio may pause or reject specific promo-code redemptions if fraud or abuse is suspected.

10. Privacy

Partners do not receive personal data of referred users. Partners receive only aggregate counts (total signups, total subscriptions, total commissionable revenue, total commissions earned) via the partner dashboard. See the Privacy Policy for the full disclosure.

11. Liability

Commissions are the sole compensation under the Program. Taufolio disclaims all other warranties, express or implied. Maximum liability under the Program is the total commissions paid in the 12 months preceding any claim.

12. Governing Law

These Affiliate Terms are governed by the laws applicable to Taufolio's parent entity, as set out in the Terms of Service.
